There were happy scenes on Emmerdale on Tuesday night, as Cain Dingle and Moira Dingle decided to reunite.
After his cheating ways with Ruby Miligan came to light, Moira ended their marriage and told him to leave the family home. But on Tuesday she had a change of heart, and as she and Cain discussed their future Moira made a big decision.
Fans had long hoped for the pair to reunite, pointing out Moira had cheated on Cain in the past with his own son. Scandals aside, viewers have been furious at the soap for weeks for their decision to have Cain betray her and for them to split.
On Tuesday night fans were happy to see the pair having a chat about what had gone on, before Moira asked Cain whether they should try again. Cain was thrilled and soon the pair shared a kiss, confirming their reunion.
But some fans of the show were a bit concerned about the twist, while most were happy. Some fans wondered why Moira would want to reunite with someone who had just cheated on her, with some fearing amid her brain tumour treatment she might not be thinking clearly.
Others were more concerned she had an agenda behind the reunion, and might actually be plotting revenge. Taking to social media, one fan posted: “Hmmmm I still think she’s up to something.”

Another asked: “But is it true or fake?” as a third viewer posted: “I think Moira is being affected by her brain condition, can’t think logically, not quite right.”
Others were far too happy to consider this theory and instead were sure it was the soap fixing its big mistake in splitting them in the first place. A viewer said: “This made me so happy because they are Emmerdale,” as another wrote: “Brill news.”
A third viewer reacted: “Nice to see them back together.” Just months ago Moira actress Natalie J Robb shared her hopes to The Mirror that Cain and Moira would find a way through.
She commented that they could come through anything and that they belonged together. She said: “I think it’s really important that they stay together. Marriages go through things – there’s temptation, there’s things that can happen.
“If everybody just gave up after the first hurdle in a marriage, people would just not get married now. It’s so easy to get out of marriages now. People do go through things, affairs, financial problems, there can be lots of things that happen that can pull you apart, but things can push you together again which I think is nice to play.”
