'Emmerdale' TV Show, Episodes 9914- 9931, UK - Feb 2024 Emmerdale, is a British ITV long running soap opera, known as Emmerdale Farm until 1989, set in Emmerdale, a fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales. It was created by Kevin Laffan and was first broadcast on 16 October 1972. It was originally produced by ITV Yorkshire and is still filmed in their Leeds studios.

It’s an Emmerdale story in the making. Expecting the arrival of triplets is exactly the kind of hijinks you’d expect from Chas Dingle. However, this time, Lucy Pargeter is the source of the baby drama.

The actress, who has played the brassy, sassy member of the Dingle clan since her debut in 2002, recently took to Instagram to announce that her family is expecting not one, not two, but THREE new arrivals.

Lucy posted a picture of an ultrasound photograph on her stories, with the caption ‘We are expecting triplets!’ and a party popper emoji.

In a further plot twist, our most eagle-eyed readers (and those with medical training) might be able to tell from the scan photos that Lucy’s adorable little trio aren’t exactly human (now that would be a real Emmerdale twist) Before anyone gets too excited, it’s only fair to point out that Lucy herself is not the mother of this adorable little trio.

The Emmerdale star proudly revealed the baby mama of her three incoming pups, her adorable floodle (French bulldog/poodle).

Lucy celebrated the arrival of her two puppies back in 2023, into what she calls her ‘house of madness’, which includes her three daughters.

The actress welcomed the birth of her first child Lola back in 2005, and then in 2017, she and her partner conceived two twin girls, Missy and Betsy, through IVF.

Sharing the image of her then-puppies on Instagram, Lucy wrote alongside: ‘Two more additions to the house of madness!!!! Anything to make my girls smile.’

Now it seems those pooches are all grown up and having pups of their own.

While Lucy’s been blessed with happy news and family joy, sadly her character’s life has been far more in the dog house.

Chas was recently embroiled in her cousin Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins)  break-in at Home Farm in an attempt to pay off her blackmailer, the villainous  Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker). Not only that, but she recently put her detective hat one and went on a one-woman mission to find out exactly what secret newcomer Serena Sugden was hiding.

Chas’s son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) started to suspect Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) wasn’t all she seemed after his partner Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) had a nasty accident with a farm trailer.

After swiping Serena’s phone, Chas uncovered damning images proving that Serena had been in contact with Robert’s twisted serial killer brother John Sugden John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth)

Although Charity does her fair share of sneaking about, Lucy’s always been happy to share important milestones from her family with fans, such as her impressive back tattoo and pictures of her gorgeous bearded dragon, Narla.

Pictures of her dogs always go down well on her socials. Onefan recently commented ‘Gorgeous pup’ on a picture of her floodle.

‘Adorable’ wrote another.

‘Too cute. Looks as if he should be sitting at the bar moaning about the price of dog food’
