Joe’s revenge on Dawn ‘confirmed’ amid dramatic Emmerdale exit story

Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) behaviour in Emmerdale is almost making us feel sorry for Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

Ha, we said almost. There isn’t enough tea in China to make us feel empathy for that scallywag.

But it’s fair to say Dawn is toying with the Tate heir, and she might be about to get her fingers burned. She might also be left wishing she’d done a bunk when she had the chance after finding out what he had done to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).

She discovered the truth about Moira’s incarceration, packed up her car, and prepared to leave. Moira convinced her to play a game with Joe to try and shake him for every penny, but eventually, Joe’s charm won her back.

That decision could become a problem as it’s now starting to seem she never lost her feelings for her ex Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), and with her almost sister Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) now getting it on with Billy, Dawn is finding it harder to hide them.

Her jealousy was obvious when she tried to prevent the new couple from going public, claiming it was to protect the children – who, as it turned out, were absolutely fine with their father figure finding love.

But when Gabby has a dizzy spell and it gets mistaken for a possible pregnancy, Dawn starts to wobble. Though it turns out only to be a scare, Gabby then tells Dawn she’s ditching the birth control, and Dawn has a full on melt down.

She breaks Gabby’s confidence and relays this news to Billy in the hopes of scaring him off, which does not amuse Gabby one bit.

Dawn’s behaviour has not gone unnoticed by Joe, especially as Gabby told him she had concerns Dawn has eyes for her man. Now Joe’s starting to wonder if Gabby is right.

Dawn finds a detention slip in Lucas’ pocket and it’s the perfect excuse for the two parents to have to come back together to parent their child. As they enjoy each other’s company, they both relax, and Dawn leans in for a kiss.

This is especially awkward, as Joe arrives home at this moment, but what did he see?
