Prince Harry reportedly left his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, “really upset” over his wedding plans with Meghan Markle, as their relationship was “blown up”.

However, a new report claims that Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, left the late queen “upset” after planning their nuptials without her involvement.
Prince Harry ‘blew up’ relationship with Queen Elizabeth II amid wedding plans
As reported by The Telegraph, Queen Elizabeth II confided in a close confidant, Lady Elizabeth Anson, a society party planner, about the Sussexes’ wedding.
Lady Elizabeth, who died five years ago, allegedly had conversations with the monarch, who died in 2022, that have now been shared by royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith.
Harry has blown up his relationship with his grandmother.
The author was friends with Lady Elizabeth.
In February of 2018, Lady Elizabeth revealed that she had recently met Meghan. She described the future Duchess of Sussex as “full of charm”.
Harry ‘rude’ to grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in 10-minute conversation
However, Meghan allegedly said that she and Harry didn’t want the queen’s favoured party planner, Lady Elizabeth, to take charge of their wedding.
Lady Elizabeth reportedly told Bedell Smith: “Harry wrote to me and said they were going another way. He said, ‘I am close to my grandmother, and she is content with this.’ When I spoke with the queen, she said she is not at all content.
“Meghan could turn into nothing but trouble. She sees things in a different way.”
Lady Elizabeth went on to say, according to Bedell Smith: “Harry has blown up his relationship with his grandmother. She said she was really upset. I was shocked when the queen told me this, how she was so saddened. I had no idea about the conversation, that he was rude to her for 10 minutes.”
Lady Elizabeth reportedly said the queen was “trying to find out about the wedding dress” over tea with the couple. However, Meghan “wouldn’t tell her”.
She also allegedly said that the queen, whom she nicknamed Jemima, was “very worried” over Harry and Meghan’s relationship.
They both didn’t believe that Meghan “is in love”. They thought Meghan had “engineered it all”.
Elsewhere, Lady Elizabeth also claimed that Meghan, William, and Kate were “not working well”.
