However, when comparing the two unlikable characters, fans seem to believe Robyn ranks #1 as the worst.
Why Robyn Brown Is Worse Than Kody
Many people have become invested in hating both Kody and Robyn Brown after so many shady things have happened through the years. But in many ways, Robyn is seen as worse because she not only causes problems but also has Kody do her bidding for her. One of the big reasons fans think Robyn is worse is because she always plays the victim. Then, Kody can step in and be the hero. Furthermore, she tends to blame others while not accepting her own faults.

She acts like no one treats her nicely but has freely undermined Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown right under Kody’s nose. But given the chance, she even shifts blame to Kody for driving his other wives away when she laid the framework.

But the other kids thought Dayton, Aurora, and Breanna were too soft in comparison. Maddie Brown Brush points out that many times, they were told to just “knock it off” and move on, but Robyn’s kids were given more tenderness. Additionally, Robyn coined her kids as the “core” family. During COVID-19 and after, Robyn’s kids couldn’t be expected to go days without seeing Kody like the OG3 wives’ kids were required to live by.
Robyn Brown Has More Agency Than The Other Wives
Additionally, Sister Wives shows that Robyn Brown was allowed far more freedom than Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown. Since she had more agency to make her own choices, it was a true slap in the face when she would try to control Meri, Janelle, Christine, and their kids’ behaviors. Since she was perceived by Kody as the most loyal to him as the patriarch, she had unbridled freedom. People believe she is worse than Kody because she manipulated all four of her plural spouses to garner control.
Not only was she permitted to call anyone else out on their choices, but she could bend the truth to show why everyone else was mean to her. Additionally, with her Kody whispering talents, she could insult him, and he would see it as his kind wife just not feeling “safe.” For instance, when she is angry with Kody about foiling her plural marriage plans. She told him, “I’m starting to feel a little tricked or something. Or, like, people are making decisions for my life that I did not choose. It’s making me very angry and very depressed.” But she still doesn’t acknowledge she was doing those very same things to her sister wives.
