Worrying Emmerdale picture ‘gives away’ a bleak future for Dawn

A new Emmerdale promo picture has potentially given away how Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) revenge plan against Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is going to play out.
Dawn is now in the process of trying to destroy her partner after realising that he’s spent most of this year lying to her.
She now knows that Joe blackmailed Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), helped put Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) in prison, and also cut down Holly Barton’s tree. Dawn asked Joe whether he was responsible for these events and he said no. Due to the fact he lied to her face, Dawn now wants to take everything from him.
Her plan kicked off a few days ago, and involved her pretending to argue with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) in front of Joe.
They were bickering about Take a Vow and when Belle was out of the room, Dawn told Joe that she’d quite like to buy the business from Belle, so she doesn’t have to work with a Dingle.

Joe immediately told Dawn that he could give her the money to buy Take a Vow. She accepted his offer, but then headed to Wishing Well to update Moira and Belle.
She told the duo that Joe’s money would be in her account the next day, and they all laughed at how easy the first stage of the plot was.
Joe’s apparent ignorance was then highlighted again, as he told Dawn that he was going to set up trust funds for Clemmie, Lucas, Evan, and their new baby.
He did this to try and prove to Dawn that he wouldn’t love his own child more than Dawn’s other kids, but it also was another way for her to gain access to a lot of Joe’s money.
Her revenge so far has gone quite smoothly, which has left fans of the ITV soap suspicious that something is going to go wrong.
And if this new promo picture on the Emmerdale ITVX home page is anything to go by, it looks like Dawn may not come out on top.
Dawn is pictured in front of a dark and gloomy looking Home Farm. Most notably though, she’s wearing her hair up in a messy bun, and also a dark green coat.
Before she moved to Home Farm, Dawn would often dress like this as caring about her appearance wasn’t a huge priority to her. A former drug addict, Dawn’s life before the luxuries of Home Farm took over was about proving to people that she’s a good mum to Lucas.
Could the fact that Dawn looks like the old version of herself in this image be a sign that she isn’t going to win her fight against Joe?
Ahead of Olivia Bromley’s exit from the show, will Dawn be the one to lose everything instead?

The possibility of this happening is certainly fuelled by our latest Emmerdale spoilers, which highlight Dawn’s naivety when it comes to trying to destroy a Tate.
At the Woolpack, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is throwing daggers at Joe, and it looks like he might explode, when Moira arrives and puts the kibosh on it. Cain sheepishly behaves himself, but Moira and Dawn can see things could easily go south if they’re not careful.
Cain takes his anger back to the Dingles where he lets the lid off and shows how much he’s struggling to keep down his utter fury. This makes Moira worry for Dawn’s safety and she advises her to grab her kids and get out.
This is not what Dawn expected to happen and suddenly the gravity of the situation hits her – she can’t leave. Moira is shocked at her decision, but Dawn is adamant she needs to do this her way, despite the dangers.

The betrayal is eating away at her, especially when Joe starts rubbing it in about how happy he is to have a family and impending nuptials. What Dawn fails to pick up on is the fact this guilt trip from Joe is strategic – because he knows what she’s up to.
Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), who’s also privy to Dawn’s plan, urges Joe to take action, but Joe assures his pal that all is in hand.
When Graham next arrives home, he arrives to a horror scene – Dawn unconscious at the bottom of the stairs and Joe standing at the top. This is beyond even what Graham had in mind. What has Joe done?
