Cory Wharton reveals massive tattoo of daughter Maya following her emotional heart surgery.
TEEN Mom star Cory Wharton has shown off his massive new tattoo of his daughter Maya’s face, weeks after she underwent her second open-heart surgery.
The MTV star shared several photos and videos of the process and finished product on Instagram.
In the post, shared on Tuesday, Cory gave his followers an up-close look at his latest ink, taken from a photograph of the 3-year-old.
He captured the tattoo artist sketching the artwork from the photo and transferring it onto the TV personality’s left bicep.
Cory then showcased the final result, which joins his other arm tattoos of his two older daughters.
The Challenge star shares Maya and her sister, Mila, 5, with his girlfriend, Taylor Selfridge, and his eldest daughter, Ryder, 8, with his ex, Cheyenne Floyd.
“Finally got Maya‘s portrait,” the TV star gushed in his caption and revealed he waited until she was further along in her recovery before getting the ink.
“I wanted to make sure to get her portrait after her second open heart surgery, didn’t wanna jinx it in any type of way. But now I have all three of my daughters on my arm.
“I’m over here feeling like, Thanos collecting infinity stones,” Cory added.
Fans praised the father of three for the sweet gesture in the comments.
“She’s beautiful and that is beautiful and perfect,” one person wrote.
“Soooo happy for you all! This is the sweetest thing. Highest level dad,” said another.
“That’s so beautiful and an awesome dad your are to them,” a third echoed.
Cory has been transparent about Maya’s health struggles and regularly updates fans on her condition via social media.
In October, the youngster underwent her second open-heart surgery, less than two years after her first surgery when she was seven months old.
Both procedures were a result of a congenital heart defect called tricuspid atresia with VSD, which she was diagnosed with at only 25 weeks in the womb.
Cory and Taylor were told from the beginning that Maya would need numerous surgeries, and they prepared for that to eventually happen.
Over the weekend, the Teen Mom OG alum reflected on his daughter’s health battles and lengthy hospital stays in a touching post and noted that she’s now at home recovering.
