Charity utterly broken as Noah prepares to Emmerdale leave for good

Noah Dingle’s (Jack Downham) itchy feet will cause serious upset in Emmerdale for his fragile mum.
Noah considers himself to be in a dead-end job with no prospects. So hard up is he, that he’s been turning to Ross Barton (Michael Parr) for life advice. And in a weird plot twist, Ross has actually had some sensible words to say.
He helped Noah see that having the skills of a sparky means Noah is pretty much set for life, and can work his business anywhere in the world. Now Noah’s got the bug to leave, and he’s making plans to do so.
He’s decided Germany is where it’s at, where he can make money and live a life far from the sleepy village he’s always known, but this means breaking the news to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) that he plans to leave her.
The timing is awful; Charity has been trying hard to build a case against her rapist Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) and isn’t having much success. After the CPS deemed her case baseless, with the help of Vanessa she sought out other victims of Dr Todd.
Difficult news for Charity though that no one is willing to go up against her.
While all this is going on Noah gears himself up to tell Charity he’s ready to leave.
He psyches himself up, knowing she already has too much to cope with, but initially she surprises him by taking it well. Phew, sigh of relief. He can get ready for his new life abroad.

It’s not long before it becomes clear it’s just a front, and Charity is utterly broken by the news.
Noah immediately decides to stay in the village and forgo his future for his mum’s mental health.
But as we know actor Jack Downham is leaving the soap, will Charity mask her pain to set her son free?
