Prince Harry has “loved” being back in the U.K.

On Thursday, Sept. 11, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex, 40, shared that Harry has enjoyed his time in England, which included visiting several charities close to his heart, giving a speech at the WellChild awards and a reunion with his father, King Charles, whom he has not seen for 19 months.

“He’s obviously loved being back in the U.K., catching up with old friends, colleagues, and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him,” the spokesperson said.

Harry appeared in great spirits the morning after his reunion with his father when he attended The Diana Award event on Sept. 11, high-fiving charity supporters, laughing during a panel discussion and giving a heartfelt speech in which he paid tribute to his beloved late mom, Princess Diana.

“My mother believed in the power and agency of young people to positively impact the world. The Diana Award continues her legacy by putting young people at the heart of everything they do. Today is a perfect example of that. My message to everyone is don’t stand still, don’t stay silent — make them hear you because you speak for the majority,” he said.

The Diana Award is one of the few causes that unites both Harry and Prince William, 43, despite their estrangement. The brothers regularly — though separately — participate in events honoring young people making a difference in communities around the world.

The event came the morning after his first in-person meeting with his father, King Charles, in 19 months.

Harry was seen arriving in a car at his father’s residence, Clarence House, at around 5:20 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Sept 10. He was inside for 55 minutes before leaving the property.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King had a private tea with Harry, adding that no further details would be shared.

After the meeting, Harry attended a London event for the Invictus Games, where he was asked about his father by a reporter. “He’s great, thank you,” he replied.

The Duke of Sussex’s U.K. trip also included a visit to Nottingham on Tuesday, where he donated $1.5 million to children’s charity Children in Need. He also attended the annual WellChild Awards in London on Monday.
