Kate Middleton ‘training’ to be queen one day
Though no official confirmation has been given, the symbolic gesture could mark a striking shift behind palace walls.
It suggests that Kate is being quietly prepared for her future role.
Kate’s increased public presence has not gone unnoticed. Following her own cancer diagnosis and treatment last year, she has re-emerged into the spotlight with renewed purpose, presenting awards, attending engagements and demonstrating her commitment to her royal duties.
Last year, both Kate and King Charles announced they had cancer. They took breaks from performing duties as they focused on their health. Kate is now in remission while the king continues with his treatment.
According to reports in recent months, Kate and Prince William are slowly preparing for their future roles in the monarchy.
One day, William will become king while Kate becomes his queen consort.
Prince William and Kate to make monarchy ‘less formal’
Meanwhile, it’s suggested that Prince William, 42, is figuring out his role as a future king.
Royal experts predict that William and Kate will modernise the monarchy even more. According to royal author Tom Quinn, the monarchy underneath William and Kate could be “much less formal, less stiff than it has been under Charles”.
The insider continued to RadarOnline, claiming Kate knows “how important image is for the monarchy”.
Meanwhile, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams recently shared his thoughts on Kate becoming queen one day.
She is a fashion icon, which she uses to enormous advantage.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Richard said: “The onset of a life-threatening illness can make a person tough. When they have a clear goal, as Kate has, the maintaining of the monarchy and bringing up her family means the experience, although traumatic, can be used to advantage in the years ahead.
“Kate needed confidence as a public speaker, which she now has. She is a fashion icon, which she uses to enormous advantage. And she and William are so close, as their PDA clearly shows. They are the monarchy’s future.”
Richard said William and Kate “work brilliantly as a team now, and they will continue to do so when William becomes king”.
