Meghan Markle may be feeling “anxious” amid swirling rumours of a divorce from Prince Harry, as speculation grows that the Duke of Sussex is increasingly unhappy in their marriage.
The Duchess of Sussex has recently shared a stream of never-before-seen family photos and videos on social media.
But behind the scenes, royal watchers claim Meghan is feeling the pressure.
The speculation reached new heights last week when Meghan, 43, posted a wedding anniversary tribute on Instagram, celebrating seven years of marriage to Harry.
This move sparked fresh online debate, with some interpreting it as an attempt to silence gossip about their marriage.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Mirror: “I think Meghan is a fighter. She will be aware that some people, particularly in the UK, believe rumours that Harry is unhappy, and she’s determined to show that they have a strong marriage and a happy family life. I hope that’s true. There’s no reason to disbelieve her.”
Jennie believes that Meghan is eager to control the narrative – not just regarding her marriage, but also her image as a successful, independent woman.
Jennie went on: “I think she’s also determined to show that she is a strong character and, from relatively humble beginnings, she has become a successful actress, and now an influencer and entrepreneur. She’s anxious to be seen as a successful businesswoman in her own right, not just because she lived briefly inside the palace walls and has a royal title.”
Will Prince William strip Harry and Meghan of HRH titles?
Meanwhile, the Sussexes’ royal titles remain a contentious topic. Despite stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan continue to use their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles.
However, they have been explicitly told not to use their HRH status for commercial ventures.
Speculation has mounted that Prince William, 42, may consider stripping the couple of their titles when he becomes king. However, Jennie Bond believes it’s unlikely.
She said: “Granted, there seems to be a public appetite for stripping them of their titles, but I think it’s unlikely that William would choose to do this. It would seem, and in fact would be, quite vindictive.”
Jennie added that even though William and Harry are no longer on speaking terms, such a move would risk looking petty.
Backlash reignited after a recent podcast video showed Meghan sending a gift basket to a friend. The gift was accompanied by a card reading: “With the compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”
Sources close to the Sussexes insisted the use of HRH was permitted in private. However, critics argued it blurred the lines of their 2020 agreement with the palace.
Are Harry and Meghan splitting up?
Despite swirling rumours and speculation, there is no official confirmation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will split.
However, there’s been many predictions that Harry and Meghan could end up divorcing including one from a physic dubbed the “new Nostradamus”.
But both Harry and Meghan appear as loved-up as ever, judging by recent outings and photos.
