King Charles and Queen Camilla sent David Beckham an “incredible” gift for his 50th birthday, according to a report.
The monarch and his wife met with the former England football captain at the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday (Monday May 19).
David, known for his skillful feet rather than his green fingers, was in attendance as part of as scheme to encourage young people to consider careers in horticulture.
King Charles was heard asking after a present for David’s milestone occasion earlier this month.

“You got it, didn’t you?” the king reportedly asked David.
A grateful David, an ambassador for The King’s Foundation for nearly a year, was said to reply: “It was incredible. Thank you, it was very kind.”

Additionally, Queen Camilla reportedly added: “Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses.”
And reports claim she asked after David’s wife Victoria Beckham. Queen Camilla and Victoria met at a Woman of the World reception at Buckingham Palace in March.
David, who met the king and queen at the Highgrove Shop stand, reportedly said: “She’s doing very well.”
He also wore the King’s Rose – unveiled at the annual flower show after 12 years of development – in the lapel of his beige suit. Queen Camilla acknowledged David’s tribute by gesturing towards his buttonhole.
Royal Insider has approached Buckingham Palace and a representative for David Beckham for comment. A spokesman for the royals didn’t comment to The Sun when asked if they had sent David a birthday present.
David Beckham tipped to receive knighthood
Meanwhile, a body language expert has analysed the king and David’s friendship and hinted the football legend could receive a knighthood.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren Stanton said: “We’re seeing David appear more and more at royal events – it’s clear Charles really respects him and the effort he puts into his work.
“From his body language and the way he interacts with David, I wouldn’t be surprised if he receives a knighthood this year. There’s a deep level of connection and trust between them.”
Darren added: “Overall, David has a fantastic friendship with Charles. In particular, Charles seems to feel a strong affinity with David, and he genuinely likes him – and that feeling is clearly mutual.”
Is Prince Harry still friends with David Beckham?
David’s flower show meeting with the royals comes days after reports son Brooklyn, 26, and his billionaire heiress wife Nicola Peltz may have turned to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for advice amid claims of a family feud.
The Sussexes apparently offered their “unwavering support” to Brooklyn and Nicola.
These reported developments come some years after the Sussexes and Beckhams (David and Victoria) reportedly shared a close bond. Indeed, David and Victoria attended Prince Harry and Meghan’s nuptials seven years ago in May 2018. Victoria was also linked in press reports as having reached out to Meghan to help her settle in when she first moved to the UK.
However, in July 2023, reports claimed the friendship between the Beckhams and the Sussexes had “died” following reports of stories being leaked to the press. Former Manchester United star David, in particular, reportedly felt fuming over the claims.
