Shocking: Could Prince William Lose the Throne If He Doesn’t Reconcile with Prince Harry?
Sibling disputes have always existed within the British royal family. However, Prince William (42) and Prince Harry (40) have made things even worse with their actions. According to Harry, the rift between them began when his older brother failed to support him and his wife, Meghan Markle (43), in their decision to step back from royal duties. Since then, their relationship has continued to deteriorate.
Prince William and Prince Harry’s Relationship Seems Beyond Repair
When Harry and Meghan officially stepped away from their royal duties, it further deepened the rift between the two brothers. The Netflix documentary about the Sussexes and Harry’s shocking memoir Spare seemed to have put the final nail in the coffin of their relationship. While their feud has no official impact on the British line of succession, William’s stubbornness could eventually become a problem, a royal expert claims.
Royal journalist Afua Hagan is convinced that William can only ascend the throne after reconciling with Harry. Speaking on the program Harry and Meghan’s American Nightmare, she stated: “I don’t think Prince William can take the throne if he doesn’t reconnect with his brother.”
Can Buckingham Palace Force the Two Rivals to Reconcile?
While most royal fans have accepted that the once-dream team of William and Harry is now a thing of the past, Afua Hagan still holds hope for reconciliation. However, she acknowledges that such discussions between the brothers may not necessarily happen voluntarily. “I think they will reconcile,” Hagan speculated in an interview, emphasizing: “They will have to reconcile, whether they want to or not.”
Prince William himself has never publicly commented on the dispute with Harry. Former palace staff member Jason Knauf (43) shared his perspective on Australia’s 60 Minutes, saying: “It’s difficult when these things happen in public, but he [Prince William] has chosen to keep his thoughts private. I think all of us who know him should respect that and do the same.”
