Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry: Reality TV Breeds Mental Illness
As a pregnant teenager, viewers first met Kailyn Lowry on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant alongside her boyfriend, Jo Rivera. She had no family so she moved in with his and they tried to help her as best as they could along the way. Eventually, the couple parted ways after their son, Isaac was born and she moved on with other men. Her life was soon documented on Teen Mom where she met Javi Marroquin and had their son, Lincoln. The two tied the knot but that ended and she went on to have two more children with Chris Lopez, Creed and Lux.
Kailyn became a best-selling author and hosts three podcasts. Therefore, she has moved on with her family and found a partner in Elijah Scott. They have gone on to welcome three more children, Rio, Valley, and Verse, and she has left reality television behind. However, she still indulges in it with her latest obsession being Prison Brides and Gypsy Rose. Now, in a recent episode of her Barely Famous podcast, she opened up about being on a reality show.
In Kailyn Lowry’s eyes, reality television is a mental illness. She added that it “creates mental illness” no matter what way you look at it. However, at the end of the day, she would one hundred percent go back to reality television. Finally, she openly admits that must make her mentally ill and she seems just fine acknowledging that. Yet, she did not say what kind of show she would partake in so that would be interesting to see.
