On March 10, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, once again showcased her royal poise during the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

One such example was during a November 2023 state visit to Buckingham Palace, when she curtsied while navigating stairs to greet South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, First Lady Kim Keon Hee.
For royal women like Kate, curtsying to the monarch is a longstanding tradition, while the male royals bow their heads. If a royal does not curtsy, it typically means they have already greeted the sovereign earlier that day.
Kate’s seamless execution of this gesture once again demonstrated her commitment to upholding these royal customs.

The couple shared a sweet laugh as they sat together in the front of Westminster Abbey, a special location for the pair, as it was where they tied the knot in April 2011.

This public appearance marks the latest in Kate‘s return to royal duties, after she revealed in January that she is in “remission” from cancer.

In addition to their Commonwealth Day duties, Prince William and Kate recently traveled to Wales ahead of the St. David’s Day holiday on March 1.
During this visit, they connected with locals, trying their hand at making traditional Welsh cakes and interacting with children and business owners in the area.
Many in the region are still recovering from the damage caused by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh, and the royal couple’s visit was seen as a boost to the community.
“It’s lovely and an honor for Pontypridd to have a visit,” said local business owner Theresa Conner. “For them to do so will help boost people in the town and raise our profile.”
