Prince William’s reason for ‘keeping family away’ from Harry and Meghan exposed
Prince William is reportedly keeping his family "well away" from his brother Prince Harry and sister-in-law Meghan Markle after a rift developed between the pair.
Prince William is reportedly distancing his family from Prince Harry amid an ongoing feud, as per insights from Princess Diana’s ex-butler Paul Burrell.
Burrell claims that the doors of Adelaide Cottage are “firmly shut” to the Sussexes, suggesting a deepening rift exacerbated by allegations in Harry’s tell-all book, ‘Spare’. The memoir details a physical altercation between the siblings over Meghan, which allegedly ended with Harry being knocked into a dog bowl, reports the Express.
Following their dramatic exit from Royal duties and move to the US, Burrell believes a reconciliation is off the cards. In a chat with Closer magazine, he said: “Make no mistake, William is keeping Kate and his family well away from Meghan and Harry.”

“The door of Adelaide Cottage is shut – and there is no way in for Harry and Meghan. William knows that Harry can’t be trusted and doesn’t want any more upset in his family.”
Burrell says criticism of Kate could lead William to “explode”. He also says the prince “won’t take any more cheap shots from across the Atlantic”
He concludes that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have become mere “background noise” for William. A source told the Daily Beast that William has placed an “absolute ban on Harry returning in any way, shape or form to the family fold”.
They continued: “There is a sense that William has stepped into the Prince Philip role. Philip ruled the family with a rod of iron. Now William is calling the shots when it comes to family discipline… He can be scary!”
The Mirror has contacted Prince William’s representatives for a response.
