Amelia, as viewers will know, is set to exit after 13 iconic years in the eponymous village, with bosses having made the decision to axe the character.
Her exit comes in the wake of ex-boyfriend Tom King (James Chase) being convicted of domestic abuse and coercive controlling behaviour towards wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), receiving a three year prison sentence.
Heartbroken over recent events, Amelia decides that it’s time to leave the village and go on to pastures new. But her final scenes see the return of her dad Daz.
His relationship to Amelia is quite a complicated one, especially given that Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) – who was sent to prison last year – raised her as his own.

Who is Amelia’s dad Daz in Emmerdale and how does Dan factor in?
Daz is Amelia’s biological father. For the first 11 years of her life, however, Amelia thought that Dan – who is technically her uncle – was her dad.
The truth was revealed in 2018, following the d.e.a.t.h of Amelia’s mum Ali Breckle. Dan wasn’t best pleased with Daz for breaking the news of Ali’s passing to Amelia and a row ensued between the siblings, with Daz going out and getting drunk.
Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) confronted him in the aftermath, with a drunk Daz revealing that Amelia was possibly his child – not Dan’s.
A subsequent DNA test confirmed such a thing.
Amelia and Dan struggled to process the news, with the former disappearing in a long-running missing person’s story that required police intervention to track her down.
Amelia ultimately came to terms with the news though she still thinks of Dan as her real d.e.a.d, given that he was the one who raised her.
Dan, as fans know, received an eight year prison sentence last year after he attacked the man who was stalking Amelia. The altercation resulted in the stalker’s death.
Daz, meanwhile, left the village in 2019 after he got a delivery job in Croydon.

Daz is portayed by Mark Jordan.
Mark played the role initially in 2014 before reprising the part in 2017, becoming a series regular for two years.
He is perhaps best known for his work on Heartbeat, where he played PC Phil Bellamy. In real-life, the actor is in a relationship with Laura Norton, who plays Emmerdale’s Kerry.
