Kim’s mystery enemy throws the Christmas revenge plot into chaos in new Emmerdale twist
What seemed to be a solid marriage not so long ago has descended into all-out war recently, beginning with Will betraying Kim by sleeping with his ex-wife, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco).
Since then we’ve seen Kim enacting an elaborate revenge plot by making Will believe he was being blackmailed. Heading off into the woods to rescue Kim from an apparent kidnap attempt he found the tables turned – and ended up flat on his back in a freshly dug grave with Kim looking on triumphantly.
The two then baited each other with Kim flaunting a new love interest in the form of her financial advisor Peter Mansfield (David Michaels). Will then pretended he’d slept with Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) to make Kim jealous.
Recently Kim offered Will £100k to get out of her life, and she offered Ross Barton (Mike Parr) a deal to get rid of Will from the village – and you don’t mess with Ross Barton.
Despite these attempts, Will is clinging on and his approach in upcoming episodes is to pretend he’s madly in love with Kim again while secretly he’s plotting with financial advisor Peter. Yes, the same Peter that Kim had a fling with. Presumably he didn’t take well to being a pawn in Kim’s game and has decided to switch sides in the battle of Tate v Taylor.
Peter turns out to be a somewhat unreliable ally, however, as he tells Will there’s been a change of circumstances. Will is impatient for the plot to go ahead, but there’s a mystery third person involved telling him to wait.
As Will becomes more desperate for the plan to go ahead, he’s frustrated by Peter’s refusal to call the third person and says they have no option but to wait.
Meanwhile, Kim is putting a lot of effort into Christmas as she wants a fresh start for her and Will’s relationship. Peter tells Will to ask Kim if she wants to renew their vows on Christmas Day.
Kim is touched by what seems to be a romantic gesture and becomes emotional at the prospect of renewing their vows – little realising that Will has made the whole thing up as part of his plan to take her down.
Is Kim headed for heartbreak? We’ve seen so many times with Kim that she’s been on the verge of having everything taken away from her, just to prove that she’s been one step ahead the entire time. Could this be another of those occasions?
And who is the mystery enemy?
