Last month she was struck down by the bug days after returning from a tour of Australia and Samoa, alongside King Charles, 75.

She was ordered by royal doctors to stay at home and rest, cancelling her annual visit to the Field of Remembrance on November 7.

Camilla also pulled out of a Buckingham Palace reception for Olympic and Paralympic athletes hosted by the King the same evening.

STATE VISIT

Tomorrow she and the monarch are due to welcome The Emir of Qatar and his wife Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani for a State Visit to the UK.

The Palace said Camilla’s programme had been tweaked, meaning she would miss both the ceremonial welcome and the carriage ride.

But she will join the Emir and his wife for the lunch and was hoping to be able to view the display in the gallery.

Camilla will still be present at the glittering state banquet in the evening and will pose for a group photo at the start.

But she will take a short break before dinner while guests are being met in a receiving line.

It comes as Kate is taking part in her first state visit since her cancer diagnosis as part of her gradual return to public duties.

The Princess of Wales will meet the Emir and his wife alongside Prince William in London, and accompany them to the parade ground to meet the waiting King and senior government figures.

Charles, Kate, William and their guests will afterwards take part in a carriage ride back to Buckingham Palace, attend a lunch and visit a Picture Gallery exhibition in the royal residence.

Kate will not be attending the banquet, but William will be there.

Last month, a palace spokesman said: “Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest.

“With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.

“She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”

The Duchess of Gloucester agreed to represent Her Majesty at the Field of Remembrance.

The King and Queen stayed at a spa in India after their successful tour of Australia and Samoa.

Camilla was last seen vowing to offer her help “until I’m able to no more” after hearing stories from domestic abuse survivors in a new TV show.

Her Majesty has been working on the issue for more than a decade.

But the health scare comes after both Charles and Princess of Wales have this year been treated for cancer.

It was confirmed on February 5 that King Charles has cancer after the disease was found during a prostate procedure.

The King was expected to be discharged after two nights but concern was sparked when this stay was extended.

He was eventually discharged from hospital on January 29, 2024.

The King spent around three months away from public-facing duties and returned in April with a visit to a cancer centre in London.

He had a high profile run of engagements through the next few months including D-Day 80th anniversary commemorations in Portsmouth and Normandy.

Other such events included Trooping the Colour, the incoming Japanese state visit, a short trip to Jersey and Guernsey, and the appointment of a new Prime Minister.

It is not currently known what type of cancer the King has.

Meanwhile Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis in March following major abdominal surgery in January.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed she started a course of preventative chemotherapy in late February.

The Duchess of Cambridge revealed she had finished chemotherapy in a family clip on September 9.

She then officially returned to royal duties on November 9, attending the Festival of Remembrance with Prince William at the Royal Albert Hall.
