Are Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans from ‘Love Is Blind’ still together now?
Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans were one of only two couples to make it to the altar in “Love Is Blind” Season 7.
After falling for each other in the dating pods, the couple’s connection deepened when they took on real life together after getting engaged. However, their love story wasn’t complete without a little drama along the way.
Did Taylor and Garrett get married? We’re revisiting their entire “Love Is Blind” journey.
How Taylor and Garrett fell in love
Taylor, a 30-year-old clean energy policy consultant, and Garrett, a 33-year-old quantum physicist, shared witty banter from the very beginning.
“I think I made an instant connection with Garrett,” Taylor said in a confessional interview following their first date.
Garrett told her he felt “a very strong intimate connection” with her in a short amount of time. Taylor was quick to agree, calling their connection “magnetic.”
When Garrett asked Taylor to be his girlfriend, she played hard to get (or “hard to earn,” as she called it) for a second but happily settled into the role.
“I really respect you and can see you as my life partner,” she said.
Taylor wrote Garrett a letter then read a letter that her grandparents wrote to each other before getting engaged. Afterwards, Garrett proposed and Taylor gladly accepted.
Before they met in person for the first time, Taylor and Garrett reflected on their relationship in separate confessional interviews.
“I didn’t need a husband, but what I really wanted was a soulmate,” Taylor noted.
“I’ve never felt this way in my entire life. It’s indescribable and unprecedented. It’s amazing,” Garrett said.
The weighed their parents’ influence on their relationship
Their easy dynamic continued into their romantic trip to Mexico.
After moving home, though, they weighed their parents’ approval, or disapproval, on their decisions. Taylor met Garrett’s family. His mother worried they were moving too fast and, according to Garrett, continued to struggle.
“She’s still struggling with it, but we can do something that would … make her feel more a part of it and comfortable about it. I’m sure she’ll love to have you as a daughter and will fully embrace that when that day comes,” he said.
Then, there was the question of where they’d live. Taylor said she wanted to relocate to San Diego, where her family is based. In the pods, Garrett was open to the idea, but later became nervous to leave his own family. However, he said he’d make the move for her.
Garrett also said said he would still go through with the wedding despite any opposition from his family.
Then, Garrett heard from an ex-girlfriend — and things got trickier
While living together, Garrett heard from an ex-girlfriend. He told Taylor he’d seen the message and liked it because he didn’t know what else to do.
“She isn’t anything to me anymore,” he explained.
Taylor, who said she had been cheated on before, was upset that Garrett chose to tell her about this right before they were attending a cast party.
While talking with castmates Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser, Garrett let it slip that he did reply to his girlfriend and told her he was engaged before wishing her well. Taylor was angry that his story had suddenly changed.
“The point is I should’ve told you. I should’ve told you the facts of the situation,” Garrett acknowledged.
The couple was supposed to travel to San Diego the next day to meet Taylor’s family, but she was no longer confident that she wanted to take that next step.
“I told you I need to be 200% for you to meet my family. Now I’m not 200%. If we don’t go see my parents tomorrow, I’m not doing any of this,” she said.
After talking it through more off camera, the couple traveled to San Diego and their trip went well. Taylor was still “really hurt” but said Garrett’s response to his ex wasn’t as bad as what she’d envisioned.
Did Taylor and Garrett get married in the finale?
Before their wedding day, Garrett and Taylor had dinner with Taylor’s mother, who seemed supportive of their decision to head to the altar.
“You know, everybody jumps to the worst case scenario. I had to pull your dad back from the ledge and say, ‘They’re not our children anymore. They’re adults. And they’re inviting us into this craziness and wanting us to be a part of it, so, you know, chill out,’” she said while holding back tears.
On their wedding day, which fell on the 13th day of the month, Taylor and Garrett both marveled over the fact that each of their parents were also married on the 13th.
While preparing for the wedding, Taylor reflected on her feelings for Garrett.
“I love everything about Garrett. He’s thoughtful and generous and kind. I dream of him playing with our kids. … I see us being grandparents together. I see a forever future. I’m just so excited and I’m so happy,” she said.
At the altar, Garrett was first to say “I absolutely do,” followed by Taylor, who also said yes. In a post-wedding interview, the couple answered the question, “Is love really blind?”
“Love is absolutely blind,” Garrett said.
“Love is totally blind,” Taylor agreed.
The bride went on to describe some of the qualities she loved about her new husband.
“Garrett is the kind of man that only comes along once in a lifetime. … I wouldn’t want to jump in the deep end with anyone else. I love you so much. I’m so excited for what’s to come,” she said.
Garrett echoed his wife’s sentiments, saying, “It’s just the start of our the rest of our lives. That’s the beautiful thing about it. We’re just getting started and I can’t wait.”
