WNBA Legend Sheryl Swoopes Reveals Why Angel Reese Deserves More Credit Than Caitlin Clark

WNBA legend Sheryl Swoops recently joined the “Gil’s Arena” show, reviewing the Rookie of the Year debate between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

Swoopes has been vocal about her praise for Reese all year, previously mentioning the Chicago Sky rookie is a “dog.”

She’s mentioned that Reese has been incredible on both ends of the floor and what she’s been able to do in her rookie season has been remarkable.

While speaking on the podcast, Swoopes chimed in on Reese’s rookie year, mentioning that it’s been more impressive than Clark’s.

She believes Reese deserves more credit than the Fever star since Clark came into the league with high expectations, being selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA draft.

“To me Angel may have exceeded expectations, even more so than Caitlin,” Swoopes said. “When you’re drafted No. 1, you’re drafted No. 1 for a reason.”
