King Charles is reportedly “heading in a very positive trajectory” with his health amid his cancer treatment.

His wife Queen Camilla recently said that the King is “doing very well” amid his treatment.

The monarch, 75, is undergoing treatment for a disclosed type of cancer. The King had shared his diagnosis in February. It came after he underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate.

Camilla, 77, was out in Bath on September 3 and she was asked how her husband’s doing.

Camilla visited the Royal United Hospitals in Bath to open the new Dyson Cancer Centre.

She also met patients who are undergoing chemotherapy. A Macmillan Cancer Support worker asked Camilla how Charles is doing amid his treatment.

Yes, he is doing very well.

Camilla said: “Yes, he is doing very well.”

Meanwhile, this weekend, a royal source claimed that in the last year King Charles has shown “determination to be as public as he was able”.

September 9 will mark two years since he became monarch.

Charles is expected to attend church on the anniversary. A royal source told ITV: “There will be personal thoughts, prayers and reflections. I’m sure it will be a very poignant day for all. How could it not be, not least given the year of challenge that the whole family has had?”

They added: “Health has to remain the number one priority, albeit heading in a very positive trajectory.”

The King’s cancer diagnosis was made public in February this year. A statement from Buckingham Palace read at the time: “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

It added: “The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, during a royal engagement recently, the King offered an update on his health.

When asked how he was doing, he replied: “I’m not too bad.”

King Charles’ daughter-in-law Kate, Princess of Wales, is also receiving treatment for cancer. She shared her diagnosis publicly in March.
