Shocking Revelation Rocks Rhona: The Truth About Marlon and Laurel Comes to Light in Emmerdale!
The much-loved duo’s festive period was ruined when, on Christmas Day, Marlon’s daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) was discovered to be missing from her bedroom.
Despite the whole village coming together to launch a search effort, the teenager is still missing. The last viewers saw of her, she was getting into a car near Leeds city centre.
Some new evidence eventually came to light when police officers searched Smithy Cottage and discovered money had been taking out of a savings tin.
Not only that, but contraceptive pills were found in her bedside drawer.
Family liaison officer Anna (Rhea Bailey) then revealed that, through a search of her devices, they had found secret social media accounts where she had recorded herself in a drunken state.
Feeling like he’d failed, Marlon darted out and was confronted by Anna. She explained that there was something else she had discovered, that she was reluctant to mention in front of Rhona.
She said that in some of April’s videos, the youngster referred to texts that had been exchanged her dad and his ex-wife Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).
Anna asked outright if he was having an affair, but he brushed off her theory – but there was some weight behind what she’d thought up.
When Laurel found out, she was terrified that her life could change forever should their big secret be exposed.
We were left wondering exactly what had happened, and in last night’s episode, so was Rhona!
After an exhausting day at A&E – after a tip off from Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) that a stab victim could have been April – she and Marlon headed home to get some sleep.
She dropped his phone on the ground read a text from Laurel: ‘Thanks for keeping quiet about us, I couldn’t cope without you.’
In tonight’s episode, it became clear that Rhona had kept what she had seen to herself, and was waiting for the right moment to confront Marlon.
He arrived home and was in disbelief to see that she’d began taking April’s Christmas presents out from under the tree so that they could be moved to her bedroom.
Marlon suggested that his wife was behaving like April had died, and began to tear strips off her.
