They have castles, butlers, and precious jewelry – but when it comes to hair, the British royal family is rather sparse. The most famous bald man in the royal family is probably Prince William (42 years old). In his youth, the heir to the throne had shiny blonde hair and was considered handsome.

Over time, his hair has gradually thinned. King Charles (76 years old) also currently has very thin hair. Even Prince Harry (40 years old) has lost his once-thick red mane in recent years. His hair has become thinner, especially at the back of his head. His thick hair used to be his trademark. And the future doesn’t look too bright.

Dermatologist Dr. Aamer Khan has noticed the “clear signs of hair loss” in both William, Charles, and Harry. He says: “I think we can say this is clearly genetically influenced, as there is a consistent pattern of hair loss through generations, indicating a genetic predisposition.”

In fact, previous generations of the royal family have endured various forms of hair loss. If you trace the Windsor family tree, you will eventually encounter Prince Edward (†1820), the father of Queen Victoria (†1901). Photos from that time show the royal family was distinctly bald. Later generations have also been affected by this “Windsor baldness gene” – all the way to the present day.

Whether good or bad, the royal men must face the curse of hairlessness. However, there is some consolation: fans still find Prince William attractive even without hair. Recently, he was once again named “the hottest bald man in the world.” This might also help Harry stay calm.
