Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson has confirmed the birth of his son, announcing the baby’s name on his Instagram account.
The actor, who plays Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap, announced in June that he was expecting a child with his fiancée Sammie Johnstone, with the pair sharing their excitement about becoming a mum and dad.
In a post on Instagram today (November 23), Johnson confirmed that the couple have welcomed a baby boy, writing: “Albie Jake Johnson. You are absolutely everything”. The post also included a photo of Albie lying in a crib, wearing a “hello world” knitted onesie.

The post received a warm response from the actor’s friends and followers, with co-star Lisa Riley – who plays Vinny’s on-screen mother, Mandy – sending a message of congratulations.
“You know how proud me and Al are of you and Sammie – we love you loads,” she wrote. “CONGRATULATIONS… we are available for babysitting whenever, sending the biggest amount of love.”
Natalie Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy Wyatt, also left a message, writing: “Ohhhhh my goooooodness!!! Congratulations guys Absolutely gorgeous!! xxx”.
Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer on the soap, sent a comment as she wished her co-star “congrats”, whilst Samantha Power – who recently appeared as Tina Dingle – wrote: “Oh my god! Just gorgeous! Massive congrats to you all xxx”.
Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden, wrote: “He is delicious. Sending my love to all three of you … Congrats xx”, whilst Laura Norton – who stars as Kerry Wyatt – added: “Oh amazing!!! Well done the 3 of you … lush lush lush”.
The new parents revealed that they had got engaged in October 2023 after two years together, after Johnson proposed while the couple were on holiday in Rome.
