Prince William made the revelation on X, previously Twitter, and retweeted the Football on TNT Sports account who did a post about the recent Aston Villa game on Tuesday.

The Prince of Wales added: “Of course I was watching, @Ally_McCoist9”, before signing it off with “W”.

During the match, commentator Ally had given lifelong Aston Villa fan William a shout out.

The retweeted post praised Aston Villa for becoming the first team to win three games in the Champions League this season, beating Bologna, Bayern Munich, and BSC Young Boys, and they have also not let in any goals during these matches.

Prince George – who is also an Aston Villa fan – may have been watching the game too.

Low key half term

Prince William was pictured at the Bayern Munich match earlier this month – where Aston Villa won 1-0 – alongside close pal Thomas van Straubenzee, who is Princess Charlotte’s godfather.

After the game, William said: “I’ve lost my voice. I can’t quite believe it. 42 years.”

The three children broke up for their two-week break from Lambrook School in Windsor on Friday October 18, and they won’t go back until November 4.

Prince William is expected to undertake few public engagements compared to last week, where he did three major visits, in order to spend time with the family.

Currently King Charles and Queen Camilla are undertaking their royal tour Down Under in the monarch’s first major international tour since his cancer diagnosis in February earlier this year.

Royal Editor at The Times Kate Mansey said on her Royals with Roya and Kate podcast: “It would probably not be very diplomatic for William to be doing anything too showy to detract from it.”

And there will be some exciting activities planned for Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

Halloween fun

According to GB News, the three children are likely to spend time around Halloween with their cousins during their fortnight off school.

It is also expected that they will spend time with Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

Grandma Carole previously revealed on Instagram how much Halloween has meant to her over the years.

On her Party Pieces page in 2022, she shared: “Halloween is an Autumn highlight for me. I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and go trick-or-treating!”

She also shared how she had grown pumpkins that year and that she was looking forward to decorating them with her “loved ones.”

It is thought that Kate’s next public appearance could come in November following the half term break.

In September, the mum-of-three revealed that she has finished her chemotherapy treatment.

Princess Kate had announced her cancer diagnosis in March and said she would be taking a break from royal duties to focus on her health.
