The seventh season of Love Is Blind has finally arrived, and this time the pods are welcoming residents from Washington, DC to search for a lasting relationship. After six hit seasons, which have produced several marriages and two babies, Love Is Blind returns with more drama, romance, love triangles, and heartbreak. While the majority of Love Is Blind contestants join the show with marriage on their minds, not everyone can make the unusual experiment work for them. Here’s what you need to know about the 29 single people hoping to find their life partner in one of Love Is Blind’s iconic pods in season 7.

Tyler

Account manager Tyler, 34, has struggled to find romance in Washington, DC, telling Tudum, “I’ve tried to find love every other way, and I’m excited about [the experiment] because it’s something different.” Having left the military, Tyler is “searching for a self-possessed woman who can match his energy.” He’s also a Libra and a big fan of horses.

Ashley W.

Ashley W. describes herself as both a “really girly girl” and a tomboy, telling Tudum, “I like to get down and dirty and play a lot of sports… You might think I’m prissy, but I’m very adventurous.” The 32-year-old, whose zodiac sign is Cancer, is a health and wellness educator who graduated from Michigan State University. She’s hoping to find a partner who is “athletic, compassionate, and well-groomed.”

Raymond

With degrees from Oxford and Yale and military service under his belt, Raymond told Tudum he wants potential suitors to know that he’s “a complex human being.” A former musical theater kid and a Sagittarius, the 33-year-old’s Instagram profile reveals that he’s “Half Korean” and “All American.” As he told Tudum, “I love that I’m multiracial, so it’s kind of hard to put a tab on me.”

Nick P.

Commercial real estate broker Nick P. is searching for a partner who accepts him and his 9-year-old son: “Every step he takes, every amount he grows, in any fashion, I am completely tickled,” Nick told Tudum. The 31-year-old Sagittarius also admitted to having been shallow in the past, saying, “I’ve been looking for ‘the one’ through the wrong lens.”

Monica

“The craziest thing that I’ve done for love is forgive a cheater,” 37-year-old Monica told Tudum. A sales executive and a Gemini, Monica admitted to being “incredibly sensitive,” while also being “the life of the party.” She’s looking for a man who makes her feel “emotionally safe,” with whom she can start a family.

Nina

After splitting from her partner of nine years, Nina has entered her “YOLO era,” telling Tudum, “I’ve done a lot of work on myself and now I’m killing it in every aspect. I feel amazing.” The 32-year-old journalist is a Libra who describes herself as a “cat person” on Instagram. When it comes to a significant other, Nina is looking for “someone that remembers the little things…and considers my feelings.”

Morgan

Morgan is a sales team lead and former beauty queen who thinks the dating world is too superficial. “I’m smarter than I look, and I’m also extremely kind, open, and honest,” she told Tudum. The 33-year-old Aries refuses to settle, and is looking for a partner who isn’t afraid to take on an equal portion of the “emotional labor” in a relationship.

Ally

Ally, a master esthetician, is usually attracted to “tall teddy bear men with Southern charm,” but she’s ready to forgo her usual type in the Love Is Blind experiment. A huge Harry Potter fan and a Pisces, Ally hopes to find a man with “empathy” and stellar “communication skills.” The 31-year-old told Tudum, “I’ve yet to find ‘the one’ because I’ve settled for less than I know I deserve now.”

Hannah

Hannah was 26 when she filmed Love Is Blind, making her one of the season’s youngest contestants. A medical device salesperson, Hannah told Tudum, “I’m a very honest person… It sometimes comes off as rude or heartless, but it’s just me looking out for others’ best interests.” After being single for three years, the 27-year-old is ready to find her soulmate, who will be a stepfather to her dog Luna.

Tim

Tim, a web content strategist, describes himself as an “old soul” who has been ready for marriage for a long time. “My friends have always joked that my dating life has been like a reality show,” he told Tudum of his inability to find the right person. “My exes would describe me as clear and transparent, to a fault,” he explained, noting that starting a family is of the utmost importance to him.

Alexandra

Fashion producer and Leo Alexandra is 33 and describes herself as “Your ’90s dream girl” on Instagram. Unfortunately, her past romantic choices haven’t worked out, as she told Tudum, “I dated people who didn’t care about my well-being.” Now, she’s looking for a “tall and fine” suitor and “compassion and confidence” are key.

Stephen

Electrician Stephen is a former Marine who is looking for a partner with emotional intelligence that values his qualities. The 34-year-old Cancer is also seeking a partner he can watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy with, who isn’t superficial, and is self-sufficient. “My type is a woman who wants you, but doesn’t need you,” he told Tudum.

Leo

Leo works as an art dealer after inheriting the lucrative family business, but when he isn’t working, you can find him practicing yoga or meditating. The 31-year-old Aries is ready to find a “meaningful connection” in the pods, and to “break the cycle of bars, dating apps, and superficial dates.” He’s also prepared to be vulnerable on the series, telling Tudum, “I have a real crunchy part to me which people don’t often see day-to-day.”

Marissa

Marissa, a 32-year-old lawyer, is ready to find her husband. “We are still on our individual journeys, but hopefully he’s here,” she told Tudum before entering the pods. Marissa remains proud of completing seven years in the Navy, and she’s ready to find a partner who can handle her. “Men fall in love with my looks and charms, but don’t take the time to really get to know me,” Marissa, who is an Aries, explained.

Katie

Sports marketing manager Katie played lacrosse in college and is ready to settle down. “People assume that I’m crazy, but I’m actually the opposite,” she told Tudum. The 36-year-old Taurus is a self-described “big love bug,” who is looking for “an alpha man” during the Love Is Blind experience. She emotionally revealed, “I’ve never had anybody choose me.”

Ramses

A program associate at a justice reform nonprofit, Ramses wants to be “seen and accepted” by a partner in the pods. “My first marriage came to an end because, ultimately, we just grew in different directions, and it was what was best for both of us,” he told Tudum. The 35-year-old Cancer is great listener who is seeking a woman that “practices empathy.”

Perry

Realtor Perry is sick of being asked out on LinkedIn in work-oriented Washington, DC. Having warded off the odd catfish, the 31-year-old Libra has always dreamed of being a family man. “I’ve been dating for years, trying to find that special person,” he told Tudum. Perry’s specialist skill is baking bagels, which will delight any breakfast lover: “Sesame, everything, poppy seed—really whatever you want.”

Taylor

A clean energy policy consultant, 30-year-old Taylor is seeking a relationship like the one her parents have. “They’ve been married for 35 years and showcased how to be great partners,” she told Tudum. The Pisces is searching for someone who can appreciate her scientific mind, who is both “intellectually curious and emotionally intelligent.”

Bohdan

Ukrainian refugee Bohdan was raised in the U.S., telling Tudum, “My parents brought me to [this country], so I think I’ve made them proud by fulfilling what they came here to do.” The 36-year-old former Marine works in tech sales and is ready to find love again after his divorce. However, he won’t stand for picky eaters. “If you’re just eating chicken nuggets all day and not open to trying other foods, then I don’t want it,” the Leo explained.

Nick D.

A former all-American college football player turned real estate agent, Nick D. told Tudum he’s “the perfect version of myself right now.” The 29-year-old Aquarius is looking for a confident, ambitious woman, but he isn’t hung up on physical attributes. “I don’t want someone who’s going to latch onto me and ride my wave,” he told Tudum. “I want someone who’s going to provide value to my life and I want to do the same for them.”

Ashley A.

Marketing director Ashley A. hopes to find “a faith-driven guy” who loves her sense of humor and can help her feel less anxious. “I haven’t found someone who protects my heart the way they protect their own,” the 32-year-old Aquarius told Tudum, revealing that previous romantic partners have sowed uncertainty. “The key to my heart is being able to be soft with a man who I can trust with my heart,” she explained.

Jason

Loan officer Jason is fed up with “wasting time on the wrong girls” and is ready to find his soulmate. “I’ve been very timid and not entirely put myself out there,” the 30-year-old Pisces told Tudum. His ideal partner is “somewhat proper” and “definitely intellectual,” but he hopes she can overlook his penchant for “being a terrible texter” who is bad at communicating.

Brittany

Brittany is a 33-year-old esthetician with a passion of organizing beach clean-ups. Brittany, whose zodiac sign is Cancer, usually dates older men “who are just as adventurous as she is.” She’s also not averse to blonde, Viking-like guys and rock stars. Brittany is entering the pods to find a man who appreciates “jet-setting and stability,” telling Tudum, “My exes would describe me as a wild card because my interests change all the time.”

Tara

Senior marketing manager Tara is a “social butterfly” who is ready to find love in the pods. “My past relationships have always been with someone who’s insecure with himself and not in the right place in their life,” she told Tudum. While the 29-year-old Virgo’s “worst habit is needing to have the last word,” she’s ready to put in the work and have the tough conversations needed to find a lasting relationship.

David

Former Navy officer turned project manager David hasn’t had much luck when it comes to love. “I’ve constantly been away and even then I’ve been close to proposing, only to fall short because of the logistical difficulties of long distance,” he told Tudum. Now the 29-year-old Taurus is ready to “delete the dating apps” and find someone he can settle down with. There’s just one caveat: “The key to my heart is a woman who can get my mother’s definite approval.”

Jenny

Account training coordinator Jenny has been majorly disappointed by the dating prospects in Washington, DC. “This is my last and final shot,” she told Tudum. “I’m going to have to move after this.” The 31-year-old Cancer hates that women have to put so much effort into dating than men, and she simply wants a “nurturing and supportive partner who can reciprocate her energy.” Bonus points if he has “effortless swag” or is a sexy nerd.

Garrett

Quantum physicist Garrett has neglected his dating life in recent years in favor of work and “spearfishing adventures.” “I’ve worked myself into this corner where I don’t put any effort to meet women,” he told Tudum. The 33-year-old Taurus is ready to take the Love Is Blind experiment seriously, in spite of his scientific background. Ultimately, Garrett hopes to find an “outdoorsy, confident, and down-to-earth woman” in the pods.

Dylan

Artist and realtor Dylan is looking for a “motivated and goofy” guy who can match her weirdness. “I’m that crazy fun friend people bring around to have a good time and do something out of their element,” she told Tudum. The 30-year-old, whose zodiac sign is Aries, loves woodworking and painting in her spare time, but has forgotten to love herself in previous relationships. Prospective partners might want to know that Dylan can’t ride a bike, and her dentist told her she grinds her teeth while she sleeps.

Tamar

A video editor and animator, Tamar has been single for five years but is ready to make a commitment to someone. He calls himself “a big guy with an even bigger heart” on his Instagram profile, but he has a bad habit of finding the “right one” at the “worst time.” His last relationship ended because he couldn’t take the drama. “I just couldn’t live with that anymore,” he told Tudum. “I like to be as drama-free in my life as possible.” A word of warning: vegans need not apply.
