Prince Harry WILL return to UK in days but ‘without Meghan Markle’ – just weeks after being snubbed by William & Charles

The Duke of Sussex, 40, is set to attend the WellChild Awards ceremony in London on September 30.

It comes just weeks after The Sun exclusively revealed Harry had secretly jetted back to Britain for his uncle’s memorial service.

The California-based royal spent three hours at the church and reception in Snettisham, Norfolk, with William – but the warring siblings did not speak.

The Duke of Sussex was also in the UK in May for the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral.

But his father King Charles was too busy to see his errant son.

Wills, 42, has not spoken to his younger brother for two years due to insults and revelations in his six-part Netflix documentary and memoir Spare.

Harry jetted to the UK to see his dad just hours after he revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer in February.

But was limited to only half an hour with his father in London and prevented from joining him during his recovery from treatment in Sandringham.

Harry is suing the Home Office after his right to 24-hour armed police was removed when he stepped down as a working royal four and half years ago.

In July, he claimed it was “too dangerous” to travel to the UK with Meghan.

He told ITV: “It’s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read and whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me.

“It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”

Harry is patron of WellChild which gives seriously ill children, young people and their families across the UK the best chance to thrive at home.

The duke has attended the WellChild Awards on twelve previous occasions.

But there was no mention of his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, accompanying him.

He will spend time with each winner and their families at a pre-ceremony reception, listening to their stories and helping create lifelong memories.

And he is set to attend the ceremony and present the Award for Inspirational Child (aged 4-6) and deliver a speech.

He said: “I am once again honoured to attend this year’s WellChild Awards celebrating the remarkable courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs.

“These incredible young people, along with the dedicated caregivers, nurses, and professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all. It is a true privilege to recognise such extraordinary individuals.”

Last year’s guests included Tom Felton, Sophie-Ellis Bextor, Danny Jones and host Gaby Roslin.

WellChild Chief Executive, Matt James said: “Across the UK, an increasing number of children and young people are living with long-term, complex medical needs.

“Alongside their families, they navigate extraordinary challenges each day.

“Through the WellChild Awards 2024, in association with GSK, we aim to highlight the immense difficulties they face and to celebrate their remarkable resilience and spirit.

“This event also offers an opportunity to honour the selfless dedication of those who support them – whether it be siblings, parent carers or professionals who have gone above and beyond to give these children the best possible chance to thrive.”

In what appeared to be a brief end to hostilities, the Duke of Sussex’s 40th birthday was marked on the Royal Family’s social media alongside a photo of him beaming.

The official account shared a snap of California-based Harry smiling in a grey suit and white shirt.

On X, the note and picture was shared by The Prince and Princess of Wales account with the message: “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex.”
