Is Teen Mom star Amber Portwood responsible for this season’s The Next Chapter reunion being canceled? There is just one episode left and a reunion usually follows. Yet, that is not the case this time around but what is the reason? All signs point to Amber but what was her problem? Keep reading for more details.
Amber Portwood has struggled for many Teen Mom seasons but this one has been unlike any other. In the second episode, she introduced her co-stars to her new man, Gary Wayt. Additionally, she had a whole new bag of problems with her teenage daughter, Leah. Amber called Leah names when Leah did not care to hear her mother’s gossip and details about her new man. Furthermore, Amber claimed she was reaching out but got no response but Leah. To Amber’s ex and Leah’s father, Gary Shirley, that does not mean giving up, it means trying harder.
Rather than doing so, Amber blamed the distance and lack of communication on everyone but herself. Leah even wanted to be adopted by her stepmother, Kristina which Amber was vehemently against. Amber and Gary Wayt became engaged and then, he then proceeded to go missing which will play out in the season finale. Of course, with all of the Leah and missing fiance drama, viewers wanted and needed a reunion. However, it looks like it is Amber’s fault that there will not be one.
According to @teenmomfanz, Amber Portwood supposedly refused to sit with Gary Shirley on the reunion stage. Additionally, the mother of two would not even travel with her ex despite it being for the show. Though she had no problem originally being a part of the reunion, which happens at the end of every Teen Mom season, she had stipulations. It was then canceled which was originally shared on August 25th. Now, the reason has been revealed.
