William and Harry ‘didn’t speak’ at uncle’s funeral as guests describe chilly interaction
Prince Willaim and Harry were spotted “keeping their distance” and not speaking to one another at their uncle’s funeral, according to fellow guests.
It was the first time the estranged brothers had seen each other since King Charles’ coronation back in May this year. They are said to have “secretly” attended the service for Lord Robert Fellowes – their mother Diana’s brother-in-law – on Wednesday.
But witnesses have claimed that the pair sat separately, with no indication their years-long feud has ended. The brothers were spotted at the back of St Mary’s church in Snettisham, Norfolk, but were never seen interacting with one another.

“William and Harry were both there but we never saw them speak to each other and they were keeping their distance,” a source told The Sun. Another said: “I didn’t know they were there. They arrived very discreetly.”
It comes after sources close to the Duke told he would not attend the event due to security fears in the UK, but a close family friend shared how they were “very happy to confirm both princes were there”. The brothers are believed not to have spoken since the Queen’s funeral in 2022, when they “barely exchanged a word”, Harry wrote in Spare.
The last time they were spotted together was at King Charles’ Coronation in May, but they sat separately and the Duke was said to have made a swift exit. Harry returned to the UK to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games in May this year, but chose not to meet with either King Charles or his elder brother.
Growing up, William and Harry had many mutual friends who were part of their close-knit circle. But since Megxit – when Harry and Meghan decided to step back from Royal duties for a new life in America – their contact has been minimal.
Their relationship took another hit after Harry made shocking allegations against the Prince of Wales in his memoir ‘Spare’, published in 2023. The book contained a series of accusations against the Royal Family, where Harry opened up about an incident in which Prince William allegedly knocked him to the ground and tore off his necklace following a heated argument about Meghan.
The feud between the brothers escalated dramatically when the Sussexes told Oprah during their 2021 interview that certain members of the Royal Family had speculated about the skin colour of their son, Archie.
