‘Teen Mom OG, 2 & 3’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

Mackenzie McKee (Teen Mom 3)

The rumor mill went crazy in 2018 when reports came out that McKee had replaced OG Farrah Abraham on the MTV reality series. The mother of three went a step further to seemingly confirm the news by tweeting an article that went into detail about the situation. However, McKee had already said she had shifted her focus from the drama to taking care of her mother, who was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018. McKee ended up joining the cast of Teen Mom OG in 2019.

McKee’s mom, Angie Douthit, passed away on Dec. 9, 2019. Douthit’s cancer treatments and McKee’s mourning were both featured prominently on Teen Mom OG.

“She left a very powerful impact. She spent her whole life loving hard and loving no matter what. She was always by your side, everything you went through, good or bad,” McKee said. “And then, in the end, it was her turn to be surrounded by the people who love her. We were there for her and we didn’t leave.”

Before her mother’s death, McKee revealed that she and husband, Josh, had both cheated on each other in the past, and the couple briefly split up in August 2019 before reconciling. However, the couple later split again when McKee accused Josh of cheating on her with her cousin in May 2020. In July 2022, McKee announced on Instagram that she and Josh had split.

She wrote, “I will always respect him as the father of my children but it’s time for me to find my happy.”

McKee has kept busy since the split. She continues her work as a fitness trainer and even ran the 2022 New York City Marathon.

Sekella and her now ex-boyfriend Matt McCann split up after Sekella gave birth to their daughter Arabella on July 18, 2011. Since then, McCann, who was struggling with drugs throughout the couple’s relationship, is out of the picture.

In 2018, Sekella announced that she was engaged to Tim Peters, her boyfriend of four years, over Christmas. The couple married in April 2020.

On Jan. 30, 2022, Sekella and Peters welcomed their first child together, Althea Meredith Peters. Peters also officially adopted Sekella’s older daughter a week before baby Althea’s arrival.

Briana DeJesus (Teen Mom 3)

Orlando-born DeJesus got pregnant by her ex-boyfriend Devoin Austin and had their daughter Nova on Sept. 10, 2011. Since then, she’s had another daughter with ex-boyfriend Luis Hernandez and dated Javi Marroquin, Teen Mom castmate Kailyn Lowry’s ex. DeJesus and Marroquin split in January 2018, and DeJesus later revealed that Marroquin had proposed to her, but she turned him down.

Following that experience, DeJesus started dating a new man, John Rodriguez. Though the star decided to keep this relationship more private, she wasn’t shy about letting everyone know how great he is.

However, DeJesus split with Rodriguez in November 2019, breaking up with him with a text.

In 2020, DeJesus briefly reunited with ex Hernandez, which was filled with explosive STD drama.

In May 2021, DeJesus announced her engagement to a new man, Javi Gonzalez. However, the pair never made it down the aisle after DeJesus broke it off with him.

Even though her journey to finding the right partner has taken a few left turns, in July 2022 DeJesus revealed that she is back in a relationship with Bobby Scott, a former bodyguard on the set of the MTV show. However, DeJesus broke up with Scott later that year in an episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

Jenelle Evans (Teen Mom 2)

The Evans (now Eason) story is one for the Teen Mom 2 history books. Fans have followed the mother of three through marriages, divorces, rehab and run-ins with the police.

When we first met Evans back in 2011, her partying ways had reached a limit with her mother Barbara and eventually, Evans surrendered custody of her oldest son Jace. Jace’s father, Andrew Lewis, was never in the picture, which led Evans to search for love with several other men.

In 2014, she welcomed her second child, son Kaiser, with now-ex Nathan Griffith.

Now, Evans is married to David Eason, whom she met in 2015 on Tinder. The two welcomed their first child together, a girl named Ensley, in 2017. Since then, the couple has stayed together, but not without a few explosive arguments.

In February 2019, Evans called the cops on Eason and claimed he assaulted her, but she later told E! News that “it was a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding.” Then in May 2019, Evans temporarily lost custody of her children after Eason allegedly shot and killed their family dog, Nugget, after the pup reportedly bit Ensley in the face. One month later, the reality star confirmed to PEOPLE she had regained custody of Kaiser and Ensley. But according to TMZ, Evans’ mother maintained custody of her oldest child, Jace.

The situation took a turn in July 2019, after the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into the dog incident. Authorities announced that Eason would not face animal cruelty charges because Evans admitted she fabricated the story for publicity. A statement from investigators obtained by PEOPLE said Evans’ admission came after several visits to the family’s home, none of which yielded any physical evidence to back up the claims. Evans responded to the allegations that she lied in an interview with The Hollywood Gossip, saying that it wasn’t a publicity stunt and that she feels “very attacked and exploited for no reason.”

Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2 in light of the animal cruelty incident. However, that didn’t stop her from getting two new dogs with Eason in July 2019.

By September that year, the couple exclusively confirmed on PeopleTV’s People Now that Eason had killed their dog.

“It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger,” Eason explained.

“This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive. Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again,” said Eason. “If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again.”

He continued: “If you call the authorities at that point, the law says the dog has to be euthanized. I’m not going to pay anyone to euthanize my dog when I could do it myself.”

Evans also revealed that she actually wasn’t fired from the show, during her appearance on PEOPLE Now.

“My relationship with MTV right now — we just left it on a civil note. And, you know, apparently I’m still in an open contract, I hear,” Evans told PEOPLE Now.

“I hear that, you know, I’m not fired,” she continued. “So, I mean, I’m confused, because I only talk to one of my old producers, but no one else will speak to me, so I don’t know. Things have been very hush-hush.”

When asked if she would consider rejoining the show, Evans said: “Maybe.”

However, the drama did not end there. Just one month after that appearance on PEOPLE Now, Evans announced that she and Easton had split, and Evans even reportedly got a temporary restraining order from her estranged husband. In March 2020, the couple revealed that they were back together. But just weeks later, Easton was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats. The couple again reconciled. Then in November 2021, Easton was arrested again, this time for driving with a revoked license and an open container.

On top of all that, Evans revealed in March 2022 that she had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The diagnosis is one of the reasons why Evans decided to not participate in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, though her manager shared that Evans’ relationship with Easton was “the healthiest they’ve been in the last five years.”

Leah Messer (Teen Mom 2)

This former cheerleader shares her twins Aliannah and Aleeah with ex-husband Corey Simms. The couple struggled as new parents when they discovered that Aliannah has titin muscular dystrophy, a rare disorder that’s usually only found in adults. While trying to navigate through difficult parenting situations, Messer eventually met Jeremy Calvert and married him after dating him for almost one year. The two share a daughter, Adalynn, but the marriage failed after three years.

Afterward, Messer was linked to Jason Jordan but announced their split in April 2019. “I’m perfectly okay with it,” Messer told PEOPLE once she confirmed her breakup. “Everything happens for a reason.”

Things appeared to take a turn for the better for Messer when her boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley, proposed to her in August 2022. However, Messer and Mobley ended the engagement just two months later.

“We will forever have love and respect for each other, and we ask for privacy as we refocus and transition out of this chapter together,” the pair said in a statement.

However, Messer remained optimistic about the future, telling PEOPLE in December 2022 that she still thinks “the right person will come along” at some point.

Kailyn Lowry (Teen Mom 2)

Lowry and Jo Rivera, who share son Issac, were on the last leg of their relationship when we first met the couple. After struggling through the stress of fighting and raising a child, the two split and have tried to do their best to co-parent ever since.

By season four, Lowry fell for Javi Marroquin and after a short period of dating, the two got married; Lowry gave birth to their first child together, a son named Lincoln, one year later. But after three years of marriage and a miscarriage, Lowry filed for divorce and the two were granted joint custody of their son.

In 2017, Lowry revealed that she was pregnant, although she was told she couldn’t carry children anymore. “I was told I would have to go through fertility treatments and IVF and all kinds of things,” she said on an episode of Teen Mom 2. “So, even now I’m still nervous that I could have a miscarriage. Another one.”

Lux Russell was born on Aug. 5, 2017, and Lowry revealed on Twitter that the father was her longtime friend Chris Lopez. Despite their previous friendship, Lowry struggled with her relationship with Lopez.

In February 2020, Lowry revealed she was pregnant again, but did not reveal who the father was at that time. Her fourth son, Creed, arrived on July 30, 2020. She later revealed that Lopez was the father.

Now with four children, Lowry made a major decision in May 2022. She announced that she would be leaving Teen Mom 2 to focus on herself and raising her four sons. “I want to focus on my self-growth and my kids and I didn’t feel like the show aligned with the goals that I have anymore,” she explained. “I decided it was time for me to move on.”

Chelsea Houska (Teen Mom 2)

Fans were thrown into Houska (now DeBoer) and her ex Adam Lind’s relationship drama and custody battle over their daughter Aubree when they first met this Teen Mom 2 star. But Lind later gave up on seeking joint custody and Houska moved on with her husband, Cole DeBoer.

The couple got engaged in 2015, married in 2016 and welcomed their first child together, a son named Watson, in January 2017. The following year, the couple welcomed their second child together, a girl named Layne.

Aubree, Houska’s oldest child, took steps to show DeBoer that she thinks of him as a father figure. In a PEOPLE exclusive sneak peek from March 2019, Aubree left a note along with two fortune cookie fortunes for DeBoer and called him “Dad.”

“She said, ‘For Dad, from Aubree,'” DeBoer read. “‘This fortune is for you. You will touch the hearts of many, and you will travel far and wide and touch many lives along the way.'”

In January 2021, Houska and DeBoer welcomed their third child together, a daughter named Walker June. Shortly before Walker’s birth, Houska announced that she was leaving Teen Mom 2.

“We’re proud to have been able to share our story and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning,” she shared. “Our next chapter in life will focus on developing our brand and taking things to the next level with new endeavors and expanding family businesses.”

Houska and DeBoer weren’t gone from TV screens for long. In January 2023, the family began starring in a new six-episode home renovation series on HGTV, Down Home Fab.

Farrah Abraham (Teen Mom OG)

Farrah, Farrah, Farrah. Fans witnessed the star push a producer, threaten to quit the show, have screaming matches with both her parents, rekindle her on- and off-again relationship with Simon Saran, star in adult films and then pack up a moving truck and leave Texas for Los Angeles.

Abraham initially left the Teen Mom franchise in 2018, calling the series “hateful” and horrible.” She subsequently sued Viacom (the parent company of MTV) for $5 million, claiming she was fired because of her adult film work. The lawsuit was later settled out of court.

Following that, Abraham’s rollercoaster life included a brief relationship with Hollywood stuntman Aden Stay, a flashing incident at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, an arrest for an alleged altercation with a Beverly Hills Hotel employee, dropping out of a celebrity boxing match against Flavor of Love star Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander, returning to MTV for Ex on the Beach season 2 and another wardrobe malfunction, this time at the 2019 Venice Film Festival.

In 2019, Abraham became Penthouse magazine’s book critic. The magazine announced that it hired the reality star to get her take on feminist classics to see how they connect to the average American woman.

The former Teen Mom OG star kicked off her first review by declaring herself a “devout reader” who believes “women should write their life stories because most journeys teach valuable lessons.”

Abraham made her long-awaited return to the Teen Mom franchise for Teen Mom: Family Reunion, though shortly afterward announced she was entering a treatment center after allegedly being sexually assaulted by the former mayor of Windsor, Calif., Dominic Foppoli. She later called the experience “life-changing.”

Following that, Abraham had a brief relationship with Mack Lovat, the guitarist for the band Minus Gravity.

Catelynn Lowell (Teen Mom OG)

A lot has happened in Lowell’s life since the show last aired. Fans witnessed her endure a tough time battling postpartum depression, which eventually led her to check into a treatment facility for mental health issues in March 2016. She later told fans on Twitter that she was doing great and that getting treatment was the “best decision I have ever made for myself.”

Lowell seemed happier than ever. The star and her husband Tyler Baltierra were sharing adorable photos and videos of one another on social media, as well as a ton of cute snaps of their little girl, Novalee Reign. But in 2018, the couple hit a rough patch and decided to try a one-month trial separation, according to E! News. The experience proved to be a positive one, as the couple reunited after 30 days, stronger in their relationship. They also welcomed a new baby girl, daughter Vaeda Luma, on Feb. 23, 2019.

After a miscarriage, Lowell and Baltierra welcomed their fourth child, Rya Rose, in August 2021. Later that year, Lowell and Baltierra were able to reunite with their first daughter, Carly, whom they put up for adoption while on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant in 2009.

In June 2023, Lowell shared a black-and-white photo on Instagram of herself and Baltierra walking with all four of their daughters.

“Had an amazing visit with our girl ❤️ she’s funny, kind, SMART, goofy and STUNNING 😍,” Lowell wrote of Carly in the caption.

She continued, “Adoption is hard and saying goodbye time and time again is soooo hard!!!! But seeing all of our girls together, getting to know Carly deeper and deeper each time and being with all four of our daughters is truly such a blessing!!!!”

Amber Portwood (Teen Mom OG)

After an explosive few seasons, Portwood left her relationship with her now ex-fiancé, Matt Baier, in the past.

Even after the cameras stopped rolling, more drama continued to pile up for the couple after reports surfaced alleging Baier wasn’t paying child support for several secret biological children with multiple women. At the time, the couple was in the beginning stages of wedding planning, but after their split in 2017, Baier married Jennifer Kathleen Conlon, a woman he met at a restaurant in Las Vegas shortly after he and Portwood parted ways.

Portwood moved on to boyfriend Andrew Glennon. The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named James, on May 8, 2018. (Portwood is also mom to Leah, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley.) However, the couple continually faced issues.

Portwood was arrested and charged with domestic battery on July 5, 2019 after allegedly assaulting Glennon while he was holding their son James in his arms. On July 9, Glennon reportedly filed for sole custody of their son and the next day, Portwood was further charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.

“The situation is a little more complicated than what’s been reported. There was an argument that escalated and now they aren’t allowed to communicate,” a source close to Portwood told PEOPLE.

“This is a very challenging time for Amber, who loves her son more than anything,” the source added. “Now she will need to determine next steps following what just occurred, but she has a great lawyer.” Portwood accepted a plea deal in her domestic battery case.

Following her breakup with Glennon, Portwood began dating a man from Belgium named Dimitri, whom she met online. However, the couple was unable to make the long-distance relationship last and broke up in January 2021.

Portwood then had a series of major developments in her life. She enrolled at Purdue University, had a strained relationship and emotional reunion with daughter Leah, revealed that she is bisexual and lost custody of James to Glennon, who moved to California.

Portwood shared a statement on Instagram about losing custody of James, remarking, “I’m devastated and heartbroken by this outcome. I’ve worked so hard to better myself and improve my relationships with my children.”

Maci Bookout (Teen Mom OG)

Bookout wed her longtime boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, in October 2016 after he popped the question on a beach that January.

Bookout — already mom to son Bentley with ex Ryan Edwards, and daughter Jayde with McKinney — welcomed her third child, son Maverick with McKinney, in May 2016. The couple hit a rough patch and underwent marriage counseling the following year, which seemed to have repaired their lingering issues.

In January 2018, Bookout revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in 2017. That year Bookout also branched out from Teen Mom by appearing on Naked and Afraid.

Bookout has continued with the Teen Mom franchise, which has been chronicling Edwards’ legal issues that affect their custody agreements for Bentley.
