Princess Anne giving Charlotte lessons on how to overcome issue Kate Middleton struggled with

Princess Anne has been giving Princess Charlotte advice

Kate Middleton allegedly found one aspect of talking to the public difficult when she first joined the royal family so her daughter Charlotte is reportedly learning how to deal with it from a young age.

Being under the spotlight for a large portion of your life must be stressful and while the senior members of the royal family are accustomed to attending events and ceremonies, the younger ones must learn how to deal with certain situations they will undoubtedly find themselves in. Princess Charlotte is only just starting out in her role and is beginning to attend more public events now.

She is clearly aware of how she is expected to conduct herself and her behaviour is always impeccable. She has taken it upon herself to keep her younger, wonderfully mischievous brother Prince Louis in check while on engagements and has even been seen telling her older sibling Prince George what to do.

While she appears to be managing admirably in such a high pressure environment for a young child of nine years, she is reportedly being guided in how to cope with royal life by her great aunt Anne. The Princess Royal is known for her strong work ethic and loyalty to her brother King Charles, so there’s no one more equipped to pass on their knowledge.

Charlotte was recently seen attending Wimbledon with her mother Kate Middleton, who made her first public appearance at the tournament following her battle with cancer. As well as watching the match, the duo spoke to guests and players and it’s in this area that she is reportedly being given some guidance.

According to Woman magazine, Kate struggled with knowing how to move on from chatting to different people when she first started out as a working royal and reportedly received help from Anne too, just like she’s giving her daughter now. “Anne’s ‘training’, if you will, isn’t just about rank, file, and curtsies either,” an insider said.

“She’s shown her how to spark conversations, but also how to end one and move on without upsetting anyone. That was a tough one for Kate to learn, but Charlotte was born to royalty so is used to the subtle signals and messaging the royals give to stay in control of a situation.”

Prince William and Kate are said to be “thrilled” that Anne, who is hugely well respected, is giving their only daughter some help with her duties. “Anne was invaluable to Kate during those early uncertain years, especially as a commoner. She wants Charlotte to have the same candid tough love Anne gave her,” the insider added.

The Princess Royal, meanwhile, has recently returned to the public eye herself following an accident with a horse in which she suffered concussion and was admitted to hospital. She was seen at the Olympics in Paris where she met with Team GB athletes, including swimmer Adam Peaty, and presented medals.

A body language expert said she looked “excited” and “empowered”. They also remarked on her confidence at such a huge event, saying she is, “isn’t fazed by being on the public stage” and embodies the spirit of her late mother Queen Elizabeth. “Like her mother, she is highly respected by the family for being a level-headed and firm member of the family – who also isn’t afraid to show her more natural and humorous side,” they said.
