Princess Charlotte has a surprisingly sophisticated palette for an eight-year-old.
While most children her age would be happy eating cheese sandwiches and various types of potato dishes, the young royal is made of more refined stuff. The Princess of Wales has previously said that her children love to “make salads and stuff” as well as their signature dish, cheesy pasta. Kate Middleton also previously admitted that her middle child loves to eat olives, Bristol Post reported. In making the snack-focused admission Kate revealed a parallel between the young royal and herself, as she previously shared her love of olives in 2018.
It transpires that five-year-old Prince Louis has a remarkably sophisticated taste for beetroot – a root vegetable typically deplored by youngsters. While filming with Mary Berry for a TV Christmas special last year, the Duchess divulged: “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”
Meanwhile, Prince George, the eldest child, is rumoured to love spaghetti carbonara. Kate often speaks of her love of home cooking, including making pizzas with her children which they reportedly “can’t get enough of.” Pasta and roast chicken are staples in the Cambridge household, while the Duke and Duchess have spoken about their love of smoothies and steak while on royal duty.
Kate and her family don’t have much of a sweet tooth, according to Marie Claire, but love Italian food like pasta and pizza. Earlier this month, Princess Charlotte and her brother Prince George took part in the festive tradition at Windsor Great Park. They picked out a tree to decorate and keep in their home at Adelaide Cottage.
A royal source told HELLO!: “It’s no surprise that Prince William and his family picked their tree from Windsor Great Park. “The late Queen always sourced Windsor Castle’s Christmas trees there, and King Charles did so last year, too. He is keeping with the family tradition.”
