Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been praised for their latest venture, which involves child mental health advocacy.
The pair have drawn significant attention and praise for their commitment to assisting children with their mental health following after a clip of them went viral online. An exclusive interview featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is scheduled to broadcast on CBS this Sunday, August 4.
With the televised interview on the horizon, some footage has already been made public, in which Meghan can be heard praising her “amazing” children and discussing our collective responsibility to shape a better world for the younger generation.
Speaking of her children, Meghan told CBS: “They’re three and five – they’re amazing – but all you want to do as parents is protect them, and so as we can see what is happening in the online space, we know there is a lot of work to be done there, and we’re happy to be a part of change for good.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry pointed out the current critical need for “every parent to be a first responder”. He contributed to the conversation by highlighting a frightening aspect, adding: “Even the best first responders in the world wouldn’t be able to tell the signs of possible suicide. That is the terrifying piece of this.”
In the interview, the couple discuss not only safeguarding their own children, but also how other parents can learn to recognise signs of online bullying. It’s considered “rare” for the couple to give a joint interview, and we can anticipate hearing more on the topic when it airs later this month. The TikTok host reveals that it’s scheduled to go live on Meghan’s birthday this Sunday.

This news follows the announcement that the couple will embark on a tour to Colombia later this year. Harry and Meghan have been invited by the Vice President of Colombia to visit the capital, Bogota, and Pacific regions, Cartagena and Cali, later this summer.
The visit will concentrate on “cyberbullying, online exploitation and the mental health impacts of these threats” – an issue Harry and Meghan have been keen to highlight since they stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
A host of destinations and activities have been planned in what many will perceive as another “copycat” Royal tour.
