Meghan Markle begs Prince Harry to ‘let go’ as she wants him to ‘be free’
Meghan Markle wants Prince Harry to ‘live in a world where he is not burdened’ by his biggest worry, a source close to the Sussexes has revealed.
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly wishes that Harry could ‘let go’ of his lawsuits and stop carrying the weight of litigation as he fights to reinstate police protection for himself and his family. A former employee of the couple’s Archewell Foundation has allegedly revealed that Meghan ‘wants him to be free’ of his legal battle for security.
The source claims that Meghan, 42, “supports Harry 100 percent but she wishes he could let go of these lawsuits, be happy and live in the moment”. They said the former actress knows that the Duke’s deep-rooted fears of history repeating itself – after Princess Diana’s tragic car crash – and his love for his children, Archie and Lilibet, stop him from giving up.

The former staffer told PEOPLE Magazine : “She wants him to be free of all of this, but she also knows that because of everything he’s been through and his love for [her and their children], he can’t. She wants him to live in a world where he is not burdened by this.” Harry has expressed himself that he is deeply concerned for the safety of his family of four.
Another source told the publication: “Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father”, while a third close source said: “Harry is determined to protect his own family at all costs.” It is understood the death of Harry’s mother Diana in 1997 weighs heavily on him now that he is a father of two.
Harry has been embroiled in a long-running battle over his security when he comes to the UK after he automatically lost the right to his police protection when he stepped down as a working royal. He has lost his subsequent court battles to have it reinstated for him, wife Meghan and their two children and is planning an appeal.
Harry took l egal action over the February 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) which ruled he would no longer be given the “same degree” of publicly-funded protection when in the country. Ravec’s decision came as a result of a change in the Duke’s ‘status’ after he stopped being a “full-time working” royal.
