Prince William ‘would never forgive’ Prince Harry for one thing amid royal feud
Prince Harry lifted the lid on his broken relationship with the Royal Family in his explosive memoir, Spare, but he claims there are some things he's kept private
Prince Harry has been very vocal about his time in the Royal Family, including his strained relationship with Prince William and King Charles.
The Duke of Sussex opened up about the Royal Family drama in his debut memoir, Spare. In the book, Harry shared details of arguments over his wife Meghan Markle, as well as disagreements with Princess Kate over everything from lip gloss to “baby brain” jabs.
He’s also given several TV interviews and produced a Netflix docuseries where he continued to reveal private family moments. Harry has revealed he has even more to share, but admitted his brother would “never forgive me” if he wrote about more family secrets.

Speaking about the editing process for his memoir, Harry revealed he removed large sections from the book to protect his brother and father. “It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out,” he said.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Harry added: “There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”
The fall-out from Spare continues to be felt in Buckingham Palace. Back in May, the King and Harry did not meet during Harry’s brief return to the UK for the Invictus Games.
Harry initially claimed that the King’s packed schedule made a reunion impossible, but reports surfaced that Charles had extended an invitation for Harry to stay at a royal residence. However, it’s been reported Harry declined and chose a hotel stay instead.

A close friend of the monarch shared with The Times that Charles was “understandably wary” about meeting Harry due to the “publicity circus” that tends to follow their interactions. The source revealed: “It’s all very sad. While it is true that the King is understandably wary about meeting with Harry, given the publicity circus that seems to surround all such visits, he did of course agree to see his son at the most vulnerable moment of his illness [in February], and at very short notice.”
The source added: “While he was hardly going to roll out the red carpet the moment this Invictus trip was announced, with doctors advising him to focus on his treatment and recovery, the idea that he refused to find space in his diary… well, let’s say recollections may vary once again.”
The last meeting between Harry and his father was a brief half-hour chat in February, following the news of Charles’ cancer diagnosis. The relationship between Harry and his brother William is also as tense as ever.
Royal expert Tom Quinn claimed to The Mirror US: “Harry’s visit to the UK has done nothing to repair royal relations Harry has been very publicly snubbed by his father and brother. [William] says nothing. It is as if Harry no longer exists. There’s been no obvious criticism from either side, but the silence from William is deafening.”
